Ann Earheart, MSN, RN, ACNS-BC, CRNI

Ann Earhart is the current president of the Infusion Nurses Society. She has been very active within INS as a member and then Nurse Planner for the Education Council from 2007-2014.  She articipates and provides input to committees with the current task force for developing a position paper for the RN role in placing central lines. She is a PhD candidate with the University of Phoenix, with her dissertation explore the perceptions of patients with poor venous access and the experience of having an IV attempted.  She is practicing Clinical Nurse Specialist wit Banner Health, with a focus on infusion therapy.  She has presented multiple podium and poster presentations, and she has written several articles related to infusion therapy.

Jim Lacy, BSN, RN, VA-BC

Jim has practiced as a Registered Nurse since 1981. He is currently the President of the Board of Directors of the Association for Vascular Access (AVA) and is employed as Global Clinical Marketing Manager. He is Board Certified in Vascular Access (VA-BC), and an Alumnus Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN). Jim previously served as chair of the 2006, 2011, and 2012 Annual AVA Scientific Meetings.

Jim has been an invited lecturer at several national and international professional meetings, and has published on topics including infusion therapy, home infusion, vascular access, and HIV/AIDS. Mr Lacy was the 2011 recipient of the Suzanne LaVere Herbst Award for Excellence in Vascular Access given by AVA.

Cora Vizcarra, MBA, RN, CRNI, VA-BC

Cora is an infusion nurse consultant and founder/president of a privately owned healthcare consulting and education corporation. She has more than 25 years of healthcare experience in both the hospital and alternative healthcare settings. She is experienced in insertion and management of various vascular access devices as well as administration of intravenous medications. She holds certification in infusion therapy (CRNI) and vascular access (VA-BC). She is actively involved in many professional medical and nursing organizations and was the President for the Infusion Nurses Society in 2008-2009. She has authored numerous articles and chapters in infusion nursing textbooks, and other healthcare professional journals. She is known as @infusionnurse on Twitter and is the author of the “Infusion Nurse Blog”.

Sharon M. Weinstein, MS, RN, CRNI, FACW, FAAN

Sharon is Past President of the Infusion Nurses Society and past Chair of INCC. She has practiced infusion care in all settings, and is Adjunct Clinical Professor at UIC College of Nursing. Sharon is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and the author of “Plumer’s Principles and Practice of Infusion Therapy“, Editions 5-9.
