Increase Your Influence and Authority, RNFM Radio EPS 239

This episode of RNFM Radio is all about claiming and “owning” your expertise; what are you expert in? Do an assessment — a self-audit — and begin to really feel it. You need to determine your strengths by doing a self-assessment, make a list of what you’re good at, and then declare your expertise and say it out loud!
As you practice declaring your expertise and claiming your influence and authority, saying it will come across as authentic as you internalize and become comfortable with that expertise.
The process:
Step one: Assess your strengths; audit your gifts and value.
Step two: Own it! (“I am a ________________.”) If you can write it down and say it, you’ll begin to believe it.
Step three: Share it! (on social, podcast, blog, consulting, etc.) Moving into the social, public space can be scary, but you need to embrace your expertise and put it out there. As a public figure spouting your opinions openly, you need to prepare to occasionally be on the receiving end of criticism; can you be solid enough to take that in stride?
Step 4: Get proof (ratings/reviews, testimonials, endorsements, etc.) Feedback, social proof, video testimonials — they’re like gold for you and your business. Give authentic testimonials and endorsements; givers gain, and the more you give, the more you’ll receive. So-called “social proof” is important and really backs up the reality of your awesomeness!
Step 5: Publish and/or produce (ebook, online course, podcasts, social media, books, blogs, coaching) Your published content is your platform and soapbox, so make it happen!
